Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2024-00003 V: Sheridan Pavilion Ground Floor Area Variance
Dear Mr. Turner
At the meeting held on Monday, February 26, 2024, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the
following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) request filed by you for the property located at
1717 W. 136th Street.
APPROVED: Sheridan Pavilion Ground Floor Area Variance – Development Standards Variance approval
for:
• PZ-2024-00003 V: Combined square footage of the Ground Floor Areas of a Private Garage and/or
Accessory Buildings shall not exceed 75% of the Ground Floor Area of the Principal Building; 140%
granted.
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is Feb. 26, 2027.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
