The pergola supplier provided a quote to repaint the pergola which would have required removing all the paint and re-powder coating it which would also void the finish warranty. Based on the cost, warranty issue and design opinion, we opted to use the white. This is similar to the white porch addition at the Cake Bake Shop on the opposite end of the plaza which contrasts with and compliments the building. The existing southwest exit door discharges via the existing vestibule to the exterior at the entry canopy west of the proposed pergola. There is an existing exterior storefront door without panic hardware and without an exit light that opens in the pergola but is only a convenience door. Reference the Life Safety Plan LS101.
