lj. Docket No. 163-02 ADLS - Tom Wood Volkswagen Signage
Petitioner seeks Architectural Design, Lighting, Landscaping & Signage approval to establish
signage for a automobile dealership. The site is located at 3300 East 96th Street. The site is
zoned B-3 (Business).
Filed by Kevin Phillips of Freeman Sign Company.
The applicant is requesting ADLS approval of wall signage. Please refer to the information
packet for elevations and details.
No signs were previously approved by the BZA at the time the Special Use was granted for the
construction of the facility.
In addition to ADLS approval the proposed sign package would require variance approval to
allow an addition sign. The building is permitted one sign and two are proposed. The
"SERVICE" sign and directional signs are exempt and only require ADLS consideration.
The Department recommends that this item be forwarded to the Special Studies Committee
on March 4th for further discussion.
If there are no comments from Plan Commission members that may be resolved in committee,
the Department would recommend that the Plan Commission suspend its rules and move to allow
the Committee to take final action on this item.
