Hi Bric,
My husband and I have lived in Carmel for 40 years and in Jackson’s Grant for the past 7 years. We are
concerned about the proposed daycare in JGV. We were originally against any commercial space in JGV
but were told it would be minimal space for possible coffee shop,CPA office etc.
Republic is now proposing increasing the commercial space by 50% which is to be a daycare center and
up to 150 parking spaces. The intersection at 116th and Springmill is already very congested due to
proximity of The Bridges which is now building apartments and has numerous retail spaces, the Mormon
temple,IU North
and various medical offices, and a grade school which is approximately 1 mile from proposed daycare.
If this daycare project isn’t approved the developer will still be able to build townhomes in the same area
as the daycare center so the land will be used.
Please do not approve the daycare center for all of the reasons listed above.
Thanks,
Karen and Kelly Hindman
