The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "open trench" inspected and approved bv the Carmel Sewer Department before anv backfilling is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or dcnial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground watcr or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer inspections should be reauested at (317) 571 ~2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany street

2. Attic access opening of at least 22
inches by 30 inches shall be provided
for attics that exceed 30 sq.ft. and
have a clear height of 30 inches or
more, per code.
3. Townhouses shall be separated by two
one-hour fire-resistive walls or one
two-hour fire-resistive wall with
parapets, per code.
4. Townhouses separated by two on-hour
fire-resistive walls shall be
structurally independent, per code.
