ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials arc hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmc] ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and scctions PJ008.1 and .2 of the Intcrnational Residential Codc. All building sc\....ers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall bc "oocn trench" insoected and aoorovcd bv the Carmcl Sewer Deoartment before any backfilling is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation andlor denial of future sewer permits andlor denial ofwatcr connections.
No footing or foundation drains or othcr sourccs of ground water or storm watcr shall be permittcd to cnter the public sewcr.
Sewer insocctions should be requestcd at (J 17) 571-2648 one to four hours in advancc.
No inspections or installations will bc made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangemcnts are made at least 24 hours in advancc. All

PLEASE NOTE: Installation of building sewer shall be per the specifications of the ClayTownship Regional Waste
District (see reverse) and any conditions noted below.. All installations shall be inspected by District personnel during
"open trench" phase and before backfilling with stone to six inches above the pipe. NO footing or foundation drains, or
other sources of ground or stormwater, shall be permitted to enter the District's sanitary sewer system. The District will
assume no liability for drains which are.below the grade level of the nearest downstream manhole nor for laterals
which are extended beneath driveways or sidewalks. The permit holder (property owner, developer or builder) will be
. responsible for damages to the District's sewer system. This includes damages to manholes, castings, manhole lids
and the like; caused by construction activity on the building site which is the subject of this permit
Inspections by the District are MANDATORY and shall be arranged by contacting the District's office at 844-9200
24 hours in advance. All new construction will be placed on billing six months after connection.has been made or when
water is connected, whichever comes first. "
