Standard release. NOTES & CONDITIONS RE:
1. Permitted openings between the garage
and residence shall be equipped with
solid wood, or solid or honeycmb core
steel doors not less that 1-3/8 inches
thick, or 20-minute fire-rated doors,
per code.
2. Garages shall be separated from the
residence and its attic areas by a smoke
separation of not less than 112-inch
gypsum board applied to the garage side.
Garages beneath habitable rooms shall be
separated from all habitable rooms above
by not less than 518 inch Type X gypsum
board or equivalent. The structure
supporting the separation shall also be
protected by not less than 1/2 inch
gypsum board or equivalent, per code.
3. Garage floor survaces shall be of
approved noncombustible material, per
code.
4. Area of garage floors used for
parking of automobiles or other vehicles
shall be sloped to facilitate the
movement of liquids to an approved drain
or toward the main vehicle entry doorway
per code.
5. Every sleeping room shall have at
least one openable window or exterior
door that meets minimum area and
dimension requirements per code.
6. Townhouses shall be separated by
fire-resistance rated wall assembly,
per code.
7. Each individual townhouses shall be
structurally independent, per code.
8. Townhouse common walls shall be
continuous from the foundation to the
underside of the roof sheathing, deck,
or slab, and shall extend the full
length of the common wall, per code.
9. Parapets shall be provided for town-
houses as an extension of the common
wall, per code.

The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 oflatest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.l and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "open trench" insoected and approved bv the Carmel Sewer Dcpartment before anv backfilling is donc. Non-
compliancc may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground watcr or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer inspcctions should be reauested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will bc made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing scwer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER '5 OFFICE. If any strcet
