Subject: Jackson Grant Village - Daycare
Mr Butler and Carmel City Council members,
As a nearby resident of the proposed development at Jackson Grant Village, I would like to make the following
suggestion.
I am not opposed to a Day Care Center and re-configuration of the JGV development and I believe it fits with the
overall need of the community. I am however very concerned about the tra?ic flow issues currently in the area
and this development will make it worse with higher tra?ic volumes at peak times for drop-o?/pick-up.
th
To make this development work, a 116 street master plan needs to be adjusted and expedited. It is nearly
th
impossible to make a left hand turn out of drives on the north side of 116 in that area during peak
morning/evening hours where many of the Day Care Center clients will be going.
th
I suggest the addition of a roundabout at 116 and Temple Drive (which is also where the new street for JGV
thth
intersects 116. Plans have already been defined for 116 improvements and this needs to be added and will
th
need to be expedited. I would suggest improving the entire section of 116 from Spring Mill Rd west to Clay Center
Rd.
Thank you for your consideration.
