Added in "Public Notice Documents" folder. i) The strict application of the terms of the UDO will hinder the ability to build a garage that meets the needs of our family; primarily being indoor parking of four vehicles and storage for a family of six. Without this addition, we will need to have multiple vehicles parked on the driveway and street on a regular basis, leading to potential theft and weather concerns. Furthermore, our home is positioned on a cul-de-sac "eyebrow" type road, often used by vehicle operators as a turn-around location and also which can become congested with parked vehicles. There are also many small children that play or ride bikes/scooters in adjacent yards, driveways, and cul-de-sac area. The proposed garage would improve the general safety of the roadway area by reducing on-street parking, thereby allowing better visibility for children, pedestrians, and motor vehicle operators. Responded by: Trent Oman - 4/8/24 2:31 PM The large sycamore tree base is 23 ft from nearest corner of proposed garage. I have consulted with an arborist/tree service who will be removing three trees from the proposed garage location. He indicated that the sycamore tree would not be impacted and did not need removed. Pictures are uploaded into "Application" sub-folder. The IMG_0061 is flagged to show location of the southeast corner of proposed garage to base of large sycamore tree. Resolved 3 1 Planning & Zoning Angie Conn 4/1/24 2:17 PM Comment Please add the large backyard tree to your proposed site plan, showing how far away the new garage will be from the tree, and please also label the distance.
