LSI Scottsdale Lamp Changer (Part number 132678) 2. Clean Dry Rag 3. Goggles for Eye Protection Warning: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD IS POSSIBLE. Insure that all electrical current is turned off before proceeding with this installation Assembling the Diffuser or Reflector: 1. Place diffuser / reflector down, with the large gap facing you. You will notice a center hole, two slits near center hole, and a tab and slot near the outside edge. 2. On one side, bend one edge near slit up slightly. On other side, bend opposite edge near other slit up slightly. Now bend tab up slightly. Needle-nose pliers may be helpful. See Fig. 1. 3. Turn baffle over, so that bends are facing down. With the palms of your hands facing up, grab baffle near gap on outside edge. Pull hands together, so that the slits mesh together, by overlap- ping edges and forming a cone. Notel Edge with tab must overlap other edge! Continue pulling together at outside edge, so that tab meets slot. Allow tab to insert slot. See Fig. 2. Slot ~ Fig. 1 Installing the Diffuser or Reflector: CAUTION: To prevent burns, allow sufficient time for the lamp to cool after turning off the electric. 1. Put on the eye protection and make sure that any spectators are a safe distance away. Fig. 2 2. Open fixture door using the hook end of the lamp changer. 3. Invert the lamp changer and remove the lamp from the socket. 4. Clean the lamp with the clean dry cloth and return to the lamp portion of the changer. 5. Install the diffuser / reflector over the base of the lamp with the large diameter down. Slide the diffuser / reflector down to the shoulder of the glass portion. See Fig.3. 6. Reinstall the lamp in its socket and seat the lamp by tightening, then loosening and retightening the lamp. 7. Remove the lamp changer. 8. Invert the lamp changer and close the fixture door using the hook end. 9. Repeat above steps for each of the remaining fixtures. Alternate Method 1.
