Hollibaugh, Director SUE FINKAM, MAYOR L E T T E R of G R A N T April 23, 2024 Trent Oman 10835 Independence Way Carmel, IN 46032 Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2024-00051 V: Oman Garage Variance Dear Mr. Oman At the meeting held on Monday, April 22, 2024, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) request filed by you for the property located at 10835 Independence Way. APPROVED: Oman Garage Variance – Development Standards Variance approval for: • PZ-2024-00051 V: Maximum 24’x30’ detached garage allowed; 28x30’ granted. Also, the combined square footage of the ground floor area of the garages and/or accessory buildings shall not exceed 75% of the ground floor area of the principal building, 120% granted. Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is April 22, 2027. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
