I will review and get back to you. I am most concerned about the fabrication of the sign. This is supposed to be a backlit sign and as it is shown on the schematics, there is no way the lighting will reflect anywhere as it will be too far from the wall behind it. I am waiting for the Landlord/Developer to get back to me regarding the sign package and specifics for canopy backlit signs. You will most likely have to include a secondary backing (backer panel) in the shape of the lettering for the light to reflect against. This backer may not be a rectangle, it must follow the lettering like an outline. The canopy was installed by the building contractors and not by the tenant. Can you let me know if this will be approved? The issue with this space is that the canopy was installed higher than it was proposed during the city’s approval effectively making the wall sign space unusable for signage, but also making the canopy difficult to use. The canopy was supposed to be installed over the transom window above the entrance door which is something I am trying to resolve with the owners of the building. DO you know who installed that, was it the building or the tenant? Short answer, no, the sign may not be on both the wall and the canopy.
