Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2024-00060 UV: The Family Place Day Care Use Variance
Dear Ms. Skidmore:
At the meeting held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action
regarding the Use Variance (UV) request filed by you for the property located at 10455 College Ave.:
APPROVED with CONDITIONS: Docket No. PZ-2024-00060 UV Permitted Uses – Day Nursery/Day Care
use variance requested; Day Care with Preschool component uses granted.
• CONDITIONS: The Petitioner addresses all remaining ProjectDox review comments.
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Use Variance
approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be
underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and
approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the use variance approval is May 28, 2027.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
