DESCRIPTION
The Washington Postlite Luminaire is styled to replicate
the acom luminaires lhat lighted streets In the first half of
the 20th century. DesIgned for superior light control. ease
of Installalfon, and maintenance, the Washington Postlite
has a precision prismatic glass optical system for tnJe
met fighting performance as wen as beauty.
OPTICAL ASSEMBLY
The optical aSS8rFmly Is a precisely molded thetmal
.- ~= Gl.ASS resistant borosilicate glass rvfIector and refractor. The
REFLECTOR upper portion of this system incorporates a series of
reflecting prisms that redirect the majority of the upward
PRlSMAnC Gl.ASS Ilghtlnto the controlling refractor while anowing a soft
REFLECTO~ upllght component to define the traditional acom shape.
Two cIecorative aluminum top cover options are available.
- PRISMATIC GI.ASS The lower portion uses precisely molded refi'acllng
REFAACTOR prisms to control the distn'bution of light to maximize
utilization. uniformity, and Iuminaire spacing. The very top
of this assembly Is a removaQle spring loaded prismatic
glass cover with decorative finial tor too/less entry into
the lamp chamber. Three unique optical assembUes are
available, destgned for asymmetric: and symmetric
dlsbibutions. The Lunar Optics assembly (IESNA cutoff)
Is. standard. It consists of an aluminum plate and
anodlzed refiector to restrict the intensity at the c:ritIcal
angles.
