Good Morning Bric,
I wanted to send you the below email I sent to Shannon regarding the docket number for 13777 Hazel
Dell Parkway. It outlines a different perspective as I live directly to the west of the Kinny property; people
who live in Avian Glen along Hazel Dell have concerns over the multi-use path and the removal of trees
due to the negative impact to their backyards. I believe the below information can be distributed to the
council for review.
Thanks in advance

Good afternoon Shannon.
I live in Avian Glen on 14129 Warbler Way N and was at the public hearing last Tuesday to listen to the
Kinney's present their case on the matter of building a second home on their property. My home is
directly to the west of their property and faces my backyard so I wanted to understand the plan and what
they wanted to build.
A couple of points that I wanted to address with you as I felt there was not adequate time given for public
comments and as the conversation went on more information came out.
1. Hazel Dell sidewalk west side:
Our home is located where the red pin is on the map below
2. Tree line:
There currently is a sidewalk on the west side of Hazel Dell that passes in front of the Kinney home
and connects to the 10ft multi-use path on the east side of H.D.
There is also a 10ft multi-use path on the east side of Hazel Dell

3. Site layout and walking path to school:
There was quite a bit of discussion on the walking path for the school located to the north of my
neighborhood.
I work from home and both kids and parents use the walkway easement (orange highlight below)
to go to and from school as I see them every morning/afternoon walking past my house
There are not parents walking down Hazel Dell with their students and crossing the street to get to
school, rather they are bussed, dropped off via car, or parents park in my neighborhood and
walk their kids on the path shown below.
Concerns:
By removing the trees in front of the Kinny home there will be more road noise from Hazel Dell
entering my backyard
Right now I have 2 tree lines between the back of my house and Hazel Dell (Kinney's cleared there
lot). I do not want to see all of the trees removed and this will negatively impact my home
aesthetics and value.
I came to the meeting with an open mind as I wanted to understand what the Kinney home
building plan was and the meeting ended up talking about a sidewalk and tree removal. I would
like to understand if the home has been approved to build as I would be in support and favor the
Kinney's building their house. When public comments were asked for there was not ample time
given for questions and comments. Rather this was glossed over and we moved on. There was
also another home owner that was present at the meeting who had questions and concerns.
She lives to the south of the Kinny property in Avian Glenn but her backyard faces Hazel Dell.
The Ask:
Before this is permanently ruled on I would like to have another meeting where both the home and
sidewalk can be discussed and there is ample time allowed for questions/comments as now there is a
clearer picture of scope and what is involved.
Would be happy to discuss further via a conf call or an in person visit to walk the area.
