The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 oflatest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting I
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The scwe~
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Cannel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9M 122(a), and sections P3008.! and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diametcr.
All installations shall be "ooen trench" insoected and aooroved bv the Carmel Sewer Deoartment before any backfilling: is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water conncctions.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm watcr shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer insoections should be reauested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be madc on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbcrs or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany street
mu~t he cut. a senarate ~treet cut nennit shall he ohtainerl.
