It is the belief and understanding of this office that the Coram Deo Academy has met the provisions of LIDO Article 9.15, including the need for continuous construction within three (3) years, and including completion of the landscape installation and approval by the City's Environmental Planner, Daren Mindham, which occurred on June 20, 2023. While it was clearly communicated by the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) that all site and building improvements were to be completed by June 27, 2025, the Coram Deo Academy has requested an extension for completion of the sidewalks and multi -use path requirement which includes: 0 425' of 5' sidewalk along E. 117th Street • 600' of 10' multi -use path along Congressional Avenue • 810' of 10' multi -use path along College Avenue The Department of Community Services (DOCS) supports the extension request, due in part to the significant investment already made on building and site improvements. Based on our phone conversation earlier this week, it is my understand that you and the Coram Deo Academy Board agree to a three-year phased construction plan for completion of the improvements, as follows: Phase I - completion not later than August 1, 2025 Phase II - completion not later than August 1, 2026 Phase III - completion not later than August 1, 2027 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES ONE CIVIC SQUARE, CARMEL, IN 46032 OFFICE: 317-571-2417 WWW.CARMEL.IN.GOV Construction details for the improvements will require plan submittal to and final approval by Carmel's Engineering Department and the Board of Public Work and Safety.
