The approval of this variance will not be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the
community because:
The building will not affect the community because it will be installed in my backyard surrounded by a privacy
fence and under lock and key.
The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be affected in a
substantially adverse manner because:
The building will be for personal use only. It will provide additional storage for bicycles, lawnmowers, yard and
garden tools, power tools, household items and a single axle pull behind camper. The camper is currently parked
next to my front door. There currently is a deteriorated shed too small, unsafe and used by wild critters.
The strict application of the terms of the Unified Development to the property will result in practical difficulties in
the use of the property because:
Due to current city codes I must have a completely enclosed building to park my camper. It will also provide
security for my camper and protection from weather.

IT IS THEREFORE the decision of the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals that Development Standards Variance Docket
