. . An ordinpnce establishing. the annual
budget of the Town of Carmel, Indiana, for the fiscal year
beginning January 1, 1937, and ending December 31, 1937, .
appropriating moneys for the purpose of defraying the expense
9f the several departments of the Town Government of the
Town of Carmel, Indiana, and all outstanding claims and obli-
.gations of the several departments' and'officials of the Town
Government; and fixing and establishing the annual rate of
taxation and .tax levy for the year 1936, fo.r each fund for
which a special tax levy is authorized, and fixing a time
when this ordinance shall take effect.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE TOWN OF CARMEL:'
. Section 1: That for the expenses of the
Town Government and its institutions for the fiscal year end-
. fng December 31, 1937, the following sums of money are hereby
appropriated and ordered set apart out of the funds herein
.named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the
laws governing the same. Such sums herein appropriated shall
be held to include all expenditures authorized to b~ made
during the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated and
provided by law.

Section 5: That there is hereby levied
and assessed on all real estate and improvements and all
personal property of what ever. description, tangible or.in-
tangible; which is returned and assessed for . taxation in said
Town for the rear .1936, a .ta.x .0fSeventy-Six and Ten Hundredths
Cents ($.7610) for the GENERA1LFUND on each One Hundred
Dollars ($lOO.OO)valuation.of such property; also Twen"ty-
Five and Eighty Hundredths -Cents ($.2580) for the STREET FUND .
on each One Hundred Dollars ($;100.00) valuation of such pro-
perty;also Fifty~Two and Eighty Hundredths Cents ($.5280)
for the WATER FUND on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
valuation of such property, all of whlch levies.are hereby.
duly authotized. -
Section 6: That the Auditor of Hamilton
County, Indiana, be and is hereby orqered and directed to
place all such levies upon the property tax duplicates, and
the County Treasurer of such county, be and .is hereby ordered
and directed to collect the same for the Town of Carmel, and
each of said departments thereof and- make due report thereof
as provided by law.
Section 7: ' This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage.
