RESOLUTION FOR DEFINING THE CORPORATE
BOUNDARIES FOR THE TOWN OF CARMEL, INDIANA

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Carmel, Indiana,
are desirous of defining by resolution the corporate boundaries of
said Town, and,
WHEREAS, a survey of said Town has been made describing said
corporate boundaries of said Town, and,
WHEREAS, a plat has been made depicting said legal description
of the corporate boundaries of said Town, and,
WHEREAS, three-fourths of the members of the Board of Trustees
of the Town of Carmel, Indiana, are desirous of defning the corpor-
ate boundaries of said Town,
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED, that said plat and survey are hereby
ratified and adopted to describe and depict the corporate boundar- .
ies of said Town, and that said

Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 19, Township
18 North, Range 4 East (said point being the intersection
of North Range Line Road and 146th Street); thence East on
and along the North line of said Section 19 (centerline of

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees 'of the Town of
Carmel, Indiana, that the aforementioned plat certified by Weihe
Engineers, Inc., on the 11th day of December, 1973, together with
that survey to be adopted as the corporate boundaries of the Town
of Carmel, Indiana, and described hereinabove, immediately preced-
ing,shall be and is hereby adopted and ratified by the Board of
Trustees of the Town of Carmel, Indiana, for all purposes and that
same shil be attested to by the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of
Carmel, Indiana, and deposited in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer
and that a certified copy of this Resolution is specifically passed
for the purpose of being admissible in evidence in any judicial
proceedings or for any other purpose whatsoever and that the Clerk-
Treasurer of said Town shall record same or cause same to be
recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County and the
President of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Carmel, Indiana,

shall be empowered to sign for and on behalf of said Town and Board
of Trustees .of said Town this Resolution, and
THERE BEING VOTING IN FAVOR of this Resolution those Trustees
as follows: Stanley B. Beach, George F. Stevens, Frederick P.
Hinshaw, William D. McFadden and Fred T. Swift, and no members
having voted against same.
THAT THE ADOPTION AND RATIFICATION of the aforementioned
survey and plat thus defining the corporate boundaries of the Town
of Carmel, Indiana, will take effect immediately and the effect of
this Resolution is to take effect immediately upon passage;'
