( ") /' ~~.~ ~~7 For: / -< /' '" Meridian Corners Professional Building # 1 Project No. 122-0014 tSJffflTtlUJIG) Prepared By: Mid-States Engineering 970 Logan Street, Suite 202 Noblesville, IN 46060 August 5, 2002 Narrative o Introduction The project site is located at the northwest corner of intersection of 131 Street and US 31 in Carmel, Indiana, and is bounded by Meridian Corners Boulevard to the west. Description This project consists of the construction of proposed professional building and associated parking areas and landscaped areas. Additional project activities include the construction of a proposed storm sewer system to drain the site. ExistinQ Site Description The site is presently undeveloped. Under existing conditions, the project site consists of wild grasses cover type. A soil map from United States Department of U Agriculture Soil Conservation Service identifies Crosby (CrA) and Miami (MmB2) soils on the property and is included in the Reference Maps. Existing drainage characteristics are such that the site generally flows to the northwest corner of the site into the pipe that eventually discharges into storm sewer system within Park Meadows subdivision. Proposed Conditions Proposed drainage for the developed site consists system of new storm inlets and connecting pipes. The developed site will drain to the northwest corner into an existing storm sewer system across Meridian Corners Blvd directly to Williams Creek. The storm drainage system was designed to accommodate the direct runoff from the subject site. All new storm sewers were designed to accommodate a 1 Q-year storm event using the Rational Method. Calculations are included in this report. o Based on the study prepared by Schneider Corp., the subject site has been U included as the area in the proposed condition that will flow to the existing storm sewer system directly to Williams Creek.
