You are hereby notified that the Stream Pollution Control Board of
the State of Indiana has this 7th day of April, 1959, approved plans
and specifications for the proposed sanitary sewer system and sewage
tre,:tment plallt for the Town of Carmel.
The project wUl consist of construation of approximately 37,119
feet of sewer pipe ranging in size from 8 inohes to 15 inches in
diameter, and a sewage treatment plant.
The sewage treatment plant is designed for an average fiow. of
300,000 gallons per day. The plant will consist of a conuninutor, grit
chamber, wet well, primary settling tank, aeration tank, final settling
tank, chlorine contact tank, sludge digestion tank and sludge drying
beds.
,The plans and specifications were prepared by Moore and GaI'llB
Engineers, Inc., Indianapolis and submitted for approval February 18,
1959.
