3. The Filing Fee, as well as a digital copy of the BZA Info Packet, must be delivered to BZA Meeting Coordinator Bric Butler no later than Noon, Fri., July 12. A
check can be mailed or hand-delivered to Bric, (please make check out to City of Carmel) or the fee can be paid online here via credit card (with a small
processing fee). Failure to submit the Fee and Informational Packets by this time will result in the automatic tabling of the petition.
Please include the following in your BZA Info Packet:
a) Short memo/letter introducing the project

b) Statement of Variance request (short paragraph explaining what you are asking for)

The parcel is irregular shape with majority of the area covered by retention pond. Once hotel is placed with landscaping and sidewalks, we have a
dumpster area which covers remaining of the site leaving no space for building to be extended.

This project will meet all other local and state requirements for health and safety.
2. The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be affected in a substantially adver se manner because:
This project will complement the area, because development of a beautiful hotel will increase/appreciate values of the surrounding properties.
3. The strict application of the terms of the Unified Development to the property will result in practical difficulties in the use of the property because:
The hotel will not fit and will encroach into the setbacks.
DECISION
IT IS THEREFORE the decision of the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals that Development Standards Variance Docket No. ___________________________ is granted, subject
to any conditions stated in the minutes of this Board, which are incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof.
