Dear Mr. Chukkapalli:
At the meeting held on Monday, December 12, 2023, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took
the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) request filed by you for the property
located at 12048 Eagleview Drive:
APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS: Chukkapalli Swim Spa Pool Setback Variance - Development Standards
Variance approval for:
PZ-2023-00268 V: Minimum swimming pool & decking setback must be 3-ft from easement, 3-ft
encroachment into easement granted.
CONDITION: The Petitioner receives Consent to Encroach approval from the Board of Public
Works & Safety (BPW).
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is Dec. 12, 2026.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
