Subject: Carmel Housing
Hi Adrienne!
I can’t make the mee?ng on the 25th; however, I wanted to give my two cents worth on the housing situa?on in Carmel.
I have lived here for 31 years as have most of my girlfriends, many much longer. We are in our mid 60s to mid70s. When
we get together monthly for a casual gals lunch invariably someone makes a remark of concern about all of the
apartments springing up (everywhere, it seems!), in our beau?ful city. We just don’t understand how Carmel is going to
be able to fill these and if so, how does that lend itself well to permanent stability for the community?
We certainly hope that the community housing planners keep this in mind when designing new housing plans for
Carmel. It seems obvious that we have quite enough apartment buildings already.
Thank-you for listening.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Molly Norris Cooke
PS: We have all filled out the survey that Mayor Finkam ini?ated at the beginning of the year wherein we voiced our
concerns.
