CONTROL DETAILS & NOTES 1.ALL WORK SPECIFIED AS A/AN DOT ITEM SHALL BE GOVERNED BY THE STATE OF INDIANA OFDEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL SPECIFICATION HANDBOOK. IT ISCONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO POSSESS AND BE FAMILIAR WITH APPLICABLE SECTIONS.2.THIS CONTRACT DRAWING SHALL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON SITE AT ALL TIMES AND PRESENTED UPONREQUEST. IF UNFORESEEN STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION IS ENCOUNTERED, ADDITIONALSTORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION (SWPP) MEASURES MAY BE REQUESTED BY THE OWNER,COUNTY ENGINEER, PROJECT ENGINEER OR SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ATANYTIME. SUCH REQUESTS SHALL BE IMPLEMENTED IMMEDIATELY AT CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.3.ALL STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION ITEMS SHALL BE INSTALLED AS SHOWN OR NOTED ONTHIS SHEET.4.PLANT TEMPORARY SEEDING AND MULCHING IN ALL AREAS THAT SHALL BE INACTIVE FOR 7 DAYS ORMORE. ALL DISTURBED AND ERODED EARTH SHALL BE REGRADED AND SEEDED WITHIN 14 DAYS WITHSEEDING, AS DEFINED ABOVE AND AS SHOWN ON THE TABLE BELOW. TO ESTABLISH STABILITY ANDPROVIDE SEDIMENT CONTROL, WHERE POSSIBLE. TEMPORARY SEEDING GROWTH SHALL NOT BEMOWED UNTIL IT HAS GONE TO SEED FOR 1 YEAR.5.PERMANENT VEGETATION SHALL BE INSTALLED WITHIN 10 DAYS AT THE COMPLETION OF ANYGRADED AREAS, WEATHER PERMITTING. ALL PERMANENT VEGETATION SHALL CONSIST OFPLANTING AND SOD6.AT SUCH TIME ROUGH GRADING OF THE SITE IS COMPLETE AND DRAINAGE DIVERTS TO INLETS,INLET SEDIMENT FILTERS SHALL BE INSTALLED AT ALL INLET STRUCTURES TO KEEP PIPINGSYSTEMS FREE OF SILTATION.7.SILT BARRIERS SHALL BE INSTALLED AROUND ALL EXISTING OR NEW STORM INLETS, CATCH BASINS,AND YARD DRAINS. INSTALL ROCK CHECK DAMS FOR HEADWALL INLETS FOR STORM WATERPOLLUTION PREVENTION.8.STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED OR TOPSOIL STOCKPILESAND OTHER TEMPORARILY DISTURBED AREAS AS SHOWN ON THESE PLANS AND AS DIRECTED BYTHE ENGINEER.9.CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT ALL SWPP MEASURES DAILY AND REPAIR AS NECESSARY TOPREVENT EROSION. SILTATION SHALL BE REMOVED FROM AREAS WHERE FAILURES HAVEOCCURRED AND CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN WITHIN 24 HOURS TO MAINTAIN ALL SWPP.10.SILT BARRIERS, CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES, AND SILT FENCES SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL AGOOD STAND OF GRASS HAS BEEN OBTAINED AND/OR PAVING OPERATIONS ARE COMPLETE.CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP SILT FROM ENTERING ANY STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM. ONCE SITE HASBEEN COMPLETELY STABILIZED, ANY SILT IN PIPES AND DRAINAGE SWALES SHALL BE REMOVEDWITHIN 10 DAYS.11.TEMPORARY SEDIMENTATION AND STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION MEASURES MUST BEINSPECTED AND LOGGED BY THE CONTRACTOR FOR INSPECTION, LOGGING SHALL BE WEEKLY ANDAFTER RAIN STORMS.12.UTILITY COMPANIES MUST COMPLY WITH ALL STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION MEASURESAS DEFINED ON THE STORM WATER PREVENTION PLANS, DETAILS AND NOTES.13.THE TOTAL AREA OF DISTURBANCE FOR THIS PROJECT IS APPROXIMATELY 0.96 ACRES.14.ALL EXISTING WATER COURSES WITHIN THE PROJECT LIMITS SHALL BE TEMPORARILY PROTECTEDDURING LAND CLEARING AND GRADING OPERATIONS. SOILS WITHIN 50 FEET OF SAID WATERCOURSES SHALL BE STABILIZED WITHIN 2 DAYS OF THE INITIAL CLEARING / GRADING OPERATION ASSHOWN ON PLANS.15.ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE STABILIZED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF FINAL GRADING.16.IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN ALL SEDIMENTATION AND STORM WATERPOLLUTION PREVENTION ITEMS AT ALL TIMES.17.ALL STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PRACTICES WILL BE INSTALLED BEFORE ANY OTHEREARTH MOVING OCCURS.18.THE FOLLOWING STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURESWILL BE USED ON THIS SITE: 1.
