The fa9ade sign design and blade sign design as rendered in your Artwork Proof dated 7/3/24
have been reviewed and approved as noted by the Landlord and Property Owner Carmel Lofts
LLC, including the use of a 2"x2" wireway mounting to the existing building's exterior wall sign
panel.
All other final fabrication and installation details must comply with the Sign Criteria noted in
Exhibit B of the Lease between Carmel Lofts LLC and the Tenant West Eight Property Group
Inc., dated 6/5/2024..
All dimensions must be field verified prior to final installation and such measurements are your
responsibility. If any such measurements are found to be inaccurate upon installation, the
removal of the material and reinstallation, per the Lease specifications, will also
become your responsibility. It is your responsibility to ensure that all signs pass proper
governmental zoning regulations. In addition, the Landlord requires a copy of the permit you
receive prior to installation. The sign material and installation must meet all Underwriters
Laboratory Rules and Regulations.

We are doing our best to meet all of your requirements and battle a very complicated building all while
trying to keep the building owner and tenant happy.
We are trying to repurpose the original 3 track wireway to mount the james new sign. This was designed
to minimize any additional building holes needed and to insure we can use the same wire path into the
building, through the stone and around a steel beam bulkhead. The letters are placed within what we
deemed to be the spandrel 4 years ago with Nathan Chavez knowing we were capped at a max size of 21"
so we don't exceed the height limitation within the spandrel.
I understand, thank you for clarifying. I understand Nathan worked on this one way previously, but I need
to make sure things are done the way that is required per UDO sign standards (which were updated after
the original sign was approved). Yes, this is a very difficult building to work with, but we still required the
schematics and renderings to be accurate and to match. As you can see above, they don’t.
We are not trying to make this difficult for you to approve, we are simply trying to keep all 3 parts happy
and get James and great looking sign in a timely manner.
If you need us to change the wireway to 2 horizontal rails we can do that but it will probably require us to
penetrate the building and make new mounting holes along with wiring holes.
NO, it’s fine, but the three wireways seem unnecessary and for a building that was not supposed to have
raceways to start with, it would have made more sense to make them as invisible and minimal as
possible.
We are going to paint the wire way rails a closer building color to match the building a little more closely.
