I know you have much going on, so I hope this doesn't get lost in the shuffle. I had planned to attend the housing task force public meeting on the 25th, but will be unable to do so. Once again, it seems we, the HP public, are being manipulated into being told we have a chance to speak, then scheduling such an opportunity at a time during a workday when blue collar residents and small business owners are at work. I wanted to go on the record once again for NOT having Home Place crowded and built up into a pueblo- concrete, congested place such as old Carmel. Please don't look to us to be the answer for more housing. Our area is already being overrun, manipulated, and assaulted because people who can, make the decision of how the words "better", and "improved", are defined......according to their own definition......not ours. You know the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". Home Place has been here since 1832 and despite inevitable challenges, has done quite well.....even if not by many peoples' standards. Please leave this place where we can breathe and relax. We are thankful for the wonderful street department's very good work. I guess that's all, Adrienne. I'm sure you will hear this again and again, but if this can be weighed in for the Housing Task Force, I would appreciate your passing it along to them.
