I cannot be there but was informed that you would be the one to email comments to for input into this meeting. I have been concerned for some time at the unchecked building binge the city seems to be on. Everywhere you turn there is a building project of some sort. My concerns aren't only about housing but commercial development as well. I have lived in southwest Carmel for over 26 years. It was basically on the outskirts of Indianapolis at the time. There are a lot of positives in our growth over those years, and some not so positive. There can be too much of a good thing. Construction seems to go on unchecked. Someone has to look into the future 10-20 years and foresee what happens when all the land is gone. Will a developer then be granted the right to purchase park land for a ridiculous sum of money and the zoning along with it? Zoning changes in Carmel occur now much more than I would have ever thought possible. I don't think my scenario is out of the realm of possibility. The city has become a top destination at the present. I would like to see it stay that way. But this train is headed downhill at a tremendous speed. We all know what happens if the brakes are applied too late. Thank you, Don Masten Carmel 1
