SPEC) SPACED AS NOTED. ADVANCED WARNING SIGN WORK AREA ARROW BOARD MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC NOTES 1.DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION, ONE LANE REDUCTION WILL BE ALLOWED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9am. AND 4pm. CONSTRUCTION MUST BE COMPLETE WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF THE PERMIT AND THE LANE MUST BE REOPENED AT THE END OF EACH DAY THAT IT IS CLOSED. 2.THE BARRICADES SHALL BE MOVED TO THE EDGE OF PAVEMENT AT TIMES OF NO CONSTRUCTION TO ALLOW FOR UNOBSTRUCTED TRAFFIC FLOW THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION AREA. MAINTAIN MINIMUM 10' LANE WIDTH BETWEEN BARRICADES AND ADJACENT LANE STRIPING. 3.FENCING, BARRICADES AND/OR APPROPRIATELY SIZED STEEL PLATES SHALL BE PLACED SO AS TO ENCOMPASS ANY EXPOSED TRENCH AREA AT TIMES OF NO CONSTRUCTION. 4.THE ADVANCED WARNING SIGNS SHALL ALSO BE COVERED OR TURNED AWAY FROM THE ROADWAY AT TIMES OF NO CONSTRUCTION. 5.THE MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SHALL CONFORM TO THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS OF THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION STANDARD DETOUR SHEETS AND THE INDIANA MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES FOR STREETS AND HIGHWAYS DATED 2011 AND ALL SUBSEQUENT REVISIONS. 6.ANY DROP OFF ADJACENT TO THE TRAVEL LANE WHICH EXCEEDS 4" MUST HAVE TYPE II DRUMS WITH TYPE 'A' FLASHERS SPACED AS NOTED. 7.ALL STAGING AND EQUIPMENT STORAGE WILL OCCUR OFF ROAD AND ON THE WORK SITE. 8.THE APPROVED PERMIT AND PLANS SHALL BE ONSITE DURING CONSTRUCTION. 9.ALL PAVEMENT MARKINGS WITHIN INDOT AND/OR CITY/COUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAY TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INDIANA MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES FOR STREETS AND HIGHWAYS DATED 2011 AND ALL SUBSEQUENT REVISIONS. 10.CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION 5 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK AND WITHIN 7 DAYS OF COMPLETION OF WORK. N W E S SCOPE OF WORK NARRATIVE: TRAFFIC CONTROL IS BEING PROVIDED FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING CURB AND STORM INLETS AND INSTALLATION OF PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS (CURB, PAVEMENT & STORM CASTINGS) WITHIN THE R/W. DUE TO THE REQUIRED ENCROACHMENT INTO THE NORTHBOUND LANE IT IS PROPOSED TO CLOSE THE NORTHBOUND LANE WITH A LANE SHIFT TAPER AND ARROWBOARD AND DIRECT TRAFFIC TO USE THE REMAINING NORTHBOUND LANE. AFTER THE CONTRACTOR COMPLETES DEMOLITION AND INSTALLS THE STONE SUBGRADE AND NEW STORM CASTINGS FOR THE COMMERCIAL DRIVE IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BARRICADES BE MOVED TO THE EDGE OF PAVEMENT TO RE-ESTABLISH THE NORTHBOUND LANE UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT THE NEW CURB AND PAVEMENT ARE INSTALLED. AT THAT TIME RE-ESTABLISH RIGHT LANE CLOSURE.
