This submittal is based on your email comments from 12/12/2018 and the following items have been
revised with comments in CAPS:
1. Please provide the spillway elevation on the detail on sheet 2. REVISED ON SHEET 2
2. Is there enough fall to connect the SSD’s to the proposed outlet control structure as shown on the
plans? NO WE HAVE PROVIDED A 2’ SUMP IN THE STRUCTURE FOR THE SSD’s OUTLET.
3. Please provide a scour pad for the sump line discharge. NOTE THE LOCATION OF THE NEW
OUTLET AND SUMP PUMP DISCHARGE LINE.
4. Can the pipes (including the sump pump) be modified to enter the pond perpendicular to the pond
bank? THE PIPES THAT COULD BE MODIFIED WERE MODIFIED TO MEET THIS REQUEST.
5. Please provide a temporary check dam around the outlet control structure on sheet 3. REVISED
ON SHEET 3
6. Please add mulch to the permanent seeding legend item on sheet 3. REVISED ON SHEET 3
7. Please extend the silt fence on sheet 3 to encompass the 890 contour on the north and south sides
of the pond. REVISED ON SHEET 3
8. Please extend the silt fence so that it contains the proposed grading around the home. REVISED
ON SHEET 3
9. Please provide a drainage easement over the pond and connect it to the City’s right-of-way with an
access easement. THE EASEMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY SHOWN ON SHEET 2 AND
CONFORMS TO CARMEL REQUIREMENTS.
10. Please place silt fence around the disturbance that will be caused by the installation of the path.

11. Please provide an inlet protection detail. Please note that inlet protection within the right-of-way
must be completely below the grate, such as flexstorm. REVISED ON SHEET 3
12. Due to the silt fence and requested check dam around the outlet control structure, the inlet
protection in the Estates of Clay West subdivision can be removed. REVISED ON SHEET 3
13. The off-site disturbance for the sanitary line should be stabilized with erosion control blanket at a
minimum. AN EROSION CONTROL BLANKET IS NOT NEEDED DUE TO THE VERY FLAT
SLOPE OF THE EXISTING SITE, LOW TRAFFIC AREA, THE DISTRUBED AREA IS
SUUROUNDED BY SILT FENCE, AND THERE IS AN EXTENSIVE GRASS FILTER STRIP IN ALL
DIRECTIONS A LONG WAY FROM THE POND OR ANY STORM SEWER INLETS. MULCHING
AND PERMANENT SEEDING SHOULD EASILY STABILIZE THIS AREA.
14. Please show the location of the concrete washout. THE CONCRETE WASHOUT WAS
PREVIOUSLY SHOWN ON SHEET 3 AND CONFORMS TO CARMEL REQUIREMENTS.
