EXISTING RIGHT-OF-WAY NOTE MINIMUM FLOOD PROTECTION GRADE (MFPG): Minimum Flood Protection Grade of all structures fronting a pond or open ditch shall be no less than 2 feet above any adjacent 100-year local or regional flood elevations, whichever is greater, for all windows, doors, pipe entrances, window wells, and any other structure member where floodwaters can enter a building. LOWEST ADJACENT GRADE (LAG): Lowest Adjacent Grade is the elevation of the lowest grade adjacent to a structure, where the soil meets the foundation around the outside of the structure (including structural members such as basement walkout, patios, decks, porches, support posts or piers, and rim of the window well. Due to the limited downstream drainage system of the 98th Street roadside ditch, the City of Carmel Engineering Dept. has requested the proposed onsite stormwater management system to connect to the existing manhole in Walnut Creek. This manhole is part of the Walnut Creek Arm of the Crooked Creek Regulated Drain system under the jurisdiction of the Hamilton County Surveyor's Office and Drainage Board. The total volume of detention storage provided is equal to 7,176 cubic-feet at the max 100 year elevation of 881.29.
