For cost savings, we moved away from this type of mechanical chilled water system. We do have a replacement emergency generator. A Muffler/silencer is required on the emergency generator for the exhaust piping system. The minimum sound shall be attenuation of 25 dB at 500 Hz. The maximum sound level measured at a distance of 10 feet from exhaust discharge after installation is complete shall be 85 dBA or less. The emergency generator and the transformer will be screened. These screen walls will add additional buffering to the above mentioned without compromising the operation and service of these items. The generator is located south of the building within an enclosed mechanical yard. Refer to dwg G 1.1 for location. Screening can be seen on elevation 1/A3.01, 2/A3.02, & 3/A3.03.
