PATRIOT (Various reflectors are protected by U.S. Patent No. 6,464,378.)
HOUSING - One-piece, die-cast aluminum
in a multi-radiused, rectangular shape
with mounting arm cast in as an integral
part of the housing. All hardware is
stainless steel or electro-zinc plated steel.
DOOR FRAME - The Patriot’s one-piece,
die-cast aluminum door frame secures
to the housing with a stainless steel
hinge bracket. An integral over-center
latch allows easy tool-less access. Door
frame may then be easily removed from
housing. Door is provided with a catch
mechanism that limits door swing. A
one-piece extruded silicone gasket seals
the door frame against the housing.
The standard housing/door seal design
prevents external contaminants from
entering the Patriot, resulting in an IP65
rating in all versions.
LENS/GASKET - The Patriot is available
with a tempered flat clear glass lens. A
one-piece extruded silicone gasket seals
the lens to the die-cast aluminum door
frame.
SOCKETS - Porcelain mogul-base sockets.
All sockets are factory prewired with
a disconnect plug for the ballast. All
sockets are pulse-rated.
LIGHT SOURCES - Pulse-Start Metal
Halide, Pulse-Start Metal Halide Reduced
Envelope, or High Pressure Sodium.
Clear lamp is supplied as standard.
BALLAST - High-power factor ballast.
Pulse-Start Metal Halide and High
Pressure Sodium fixtures feature a
CWA type ballast, designed for -20°
F operation. Optional Quick Connect
package includes supply wiring plus
modular plugs for easy ballast wiring
and a removable ballast tray.

REFLECTORS/DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS
The Patriot is available with a wide
variety of reflectors, including Type II
2), Type III (3), Type V (5), Forward
Throw (FT), and Automotive Forward
Throw (FA). All reflectors are field-
rotatable, enabling generous flexibility
in distribution patterns, without fixture
movement. Photometric data is tested in
accordance with IESNA guidelines.
BRACKETS - Use with 5” traditional drilling
pattern. The Patriot’s integral cast
mounting arm is flat for square pole
applications. The fixture may also be
mounted to round poles using the round
pole adaptor accessory (RPPC), which
must be ordered separately. An extruded
6” arm extension is available (but not
required) for D90°, Q90°, T90° and TN
120° fixture configurations. A locking
nut secures two through bolts and a
reinforcing plate to the pole, stabilizing it
for easy fixture mounting.
SHIELDING - External House Side Shields
are available for field installation with
Types 2, 3, and FT distributions. Internal
Louver available for field installation with
Types 3 and FT distributions on 400 watt
and below fixtures.
FINISHES - Each fixture is finished with
LSI’s DuraGrip® polyester powder coat
finishing process. The DuraGrip finish
withstands extreme weather changes
without cracking or peeling, and is
guaranteed for five full years. Standard
colors include bronze, black, platinum
plus, white, satin verde green, metallic
silver, and graphite.
PHOTOMETRICS - Please visit our web site

photometric data.

Available in two sizes, the Patriot is ideal for
general parking lot lighting while the new Patriot
Small is used at lower mounting heights for
pedestrian-scale lighting. Together, these
specification-grade luminaires deliver optimum
performance and ensure a consistent look
throughout your site.
Packed with performance, Patriot luminaires
feature a patented optical system that utilizes a
horizontal lamp orientation. These advanced optics
offer both high performance for maximum
efficiency and IESNA full cutoff classification for
a glare-free, Community-Friendly site.
The Patriot’s compact, aerodynamically designed
housing contributes not only to its attractive
appearance, but also to EPAs dramatically lower
than traditional shoebox fixtures. This translates
into lighter gauge poles, lowering your initial
cost and your total cost of ownership.
The Patriot Series – energy-efficient,
specification-grade lighting performance
plus the value you expect from LSI.
IP65Rated
Lighting Control – The Patriot matches
the best horizontal performance in the
marketplace today. The Patriot meets
IESNA (Illuminating Engineering
Society of North America)
requirements for full cutoff
classification, making it
Community-Friendly.
Exceptional Optics – Utilizing leading-
edge optical technology, the Patriot
offers five distribution patterns (Forward
Throw, Automotive Forward Throw,
Type II, Type III and Type V). Reflectors are
interchangeable and can be rotated in
90 degree increments without the use of
tools. Reflectors are protected by U.S.
Patent 6,464,378.
Lamp Options – The Patriot operates
with Pulse-Start Metal Halide, or High
Pressure Sodium lamps. Clear lamp
shipped as standard.
Sleek, Aerodynamic Housing –
The compact, aerodynamically designed
housing allows wind to flow easily around
the fixture with minimum resistance, thus
providing dramatically lower EPAs than
traditional shoebox or larger contemporary
fixtures. This allows for the use of lighter
gauge poles, thus reducing initial cost and
total cost of ownership.
Tool-less Entry – Neatly blended into
the fixture design, the over-center latch
offers easy entry to the lamp, reflector,
and, if necessary, the ballast compartment.
A specially designed door hinge bracket
allows the door to open for easy lamp
replacement without physically removing
the door.
Premium-grade PosiSeal Lens and
Door Gasket – Only premium-grade,
one-piece extruded silicone gaskets are
used around the Patriot lens and in the
doorframe. These compression seal
gaskets create a tight, impervious barrier
to insects, moisture and debris.
Ballast – The ballast is separated from
the lighting compartment by a specially
designed heat shield. Located in the
housing, the ballast is readily accessible.
As an option, all electrical components
can be mounted to an easily removable
power panel with primary and secondary
Quick Connect plugs.
Premium-Grade Housing – A seamless,
die-cast aluminum housing provides
the ultimate in construction quality
and durability.
Beautifully Styled – The Patriot’s
curves and distinctive lines promote a
progressive, modern image. Intelligently
designed, the signature geometric features
provide heat-sinking functionality for
cooler ballast operation.
Mounting Flexibility – The Patriot
is available in multiple mounting
configurations. The standard fixture
mounts directly to the pole. A straight
extension arm, a radius arm and
an upsweep bracket are offered as
accessories. The fixtures can also be
used in a wall mount application.
Standard
Luminaire Finishes
Each Patriot fixture is finished with LSI’s
exclusive DuraGrip® polyester-powder
coat finishing process. The DuraGrip
finish withstands extreme weather
changes without cracking or peeling
and is guaranteed for five full years.
