I will also be at the meeting today to voice my opposition. I built my home in Saddle Creek in 2001, a 23 year resident. Saddle Creek and the location were chosen for many reasons, the top reason being the protection of what was already complete and residential surrounding the neighborhood. I completely disagree with this development for many reasons, including but not limited to those that have already been voiced. • 92 homes built on approximately 12 acres (subtracting commercial and common spaces). Density is 7.5 homes per acre, far more than the neighboring Ambleside Development that borders Saddle Creek and is 4.5 homes per acre. • Lighting and noise from commercial development that may include a drive-thru restaurant. • Tra?ic substantially increasing on Towne Road, 146th St. and Frontage Rd. of 46th St., taxing infrastructure. • Buildings up to 35’ in height • Individuals purchasing homes as investment properties leading to potential short- or long-term rentals. • Drainage impacting Saddle Creek’s ponds leading to increased maintenance costs for us. • Westfield development at the corners of 146th and Towne Rd. in Westfield includes a Lifetime Fitness, strip malls, hundreds of parking spots, commercial space and homes. Let’s keep West Carmel free from this mess and congestion, and leave it to Westfield to create this on the north th side – we certainly don’t need this on both sides of 146 street – this will totally commercialize and change our th West Carmel Community. We have tolerated the commercial area at 146 and Ditch on the North side, let’s keep th these developments on the north side of 146. Please protect our safe, quiet and beautiful Carmel communities, and leave these developments to the Westfield side!
