HomeMy WebLinkAboutCertification Z-693-24CERTIFICATION OF THE CARMEL PLAN COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDATION ON THE PETITION TO THE CITY OF CARMEL TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP PURSUANT TO INDIANA CODE 36-7-4-605 ORDINANCE Z-693-24 Carmel Marketplace C-2 Rezone B-8/11usiness to C-2/Mixed-use District To: The Honorable Common Council Of the City of Carmel Hamilton County, Indiana Dear Members: CARMEL CITY CLERK AUG 12 2024 TIME. - The Carmel Plan Commission offers you the following report on the application Docket No. PZ-2024-00117 Z - petitioning to rezone the parcels located at 452, 502, and 508 E Carmel Drive from the 138/Business to the C2/Mixed-use District. The 7.9-acre site is located at the north side of E Carmel Drive, adjacent to the stoplight intersection at AAA Way. The Carmel Plan Commission Commercial Committee's recommendation on the petition of the applicant is "Favorable." At its regularly scheduled meeting on August 20, 2024, the Carmel Plan Commission voted Eight (8) in Favor, Zero (0) Opposed, One (1) Absent, to forward to the Common Council the proposed Ordinance No. Z-693-24 with a "Favorable Recommendation". Please be advised that by virtue of the Plan Commission's Favorable Recommendation, pursuant to IC 36-7-4-608(f), the Council has ninety (90) days to act on this petition before it becomes effective as Certified by the Commission. Ninety days from the date of the Certification is Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
