(Please note that some sample data can be found in the top cells of the data as noted in parentheses and italicized.)
This spreadsheet is designed to be linked to the exported CAD files to provide accurate GIS information.
There are two cell formulas embedded into the structure sheet for your use to ease calculations.
Do not use ft or in symbols when filling out the tables
Do not rename any of the column headings
The sheet is set up to print multiple pages repeating top and/or left side columns as necessary.
These can be adjusted as required.
It is imperative that the structures and pipe runs be entered in the sheets in the same order.
Sanitary Structure Sheet Instructions
Sanitary Structure Number (STR_NU) - This is your unique identifer number that will match with the attribute information in CAD.
Sanitary Structure Type (STR_TY) - Manhole, Lift Station, Air Relief Valve, Valve, Clean Out, Bend 90, Bend 45, Tee
Valve Position (VALVE_POS) - On, Off
Top of Casting (TOP_OF_CAST)- Elevation at rim or top of casting
Casting type (CAST_TYPE) - Neenah R-1772-C, East Jordan 1022-2 etc.
Drop Manhole (DROP_MH_YN)- Yes, No
Number of Inverts (NUM_OF_INV) - Enter the number of inverts
This sheet is set up to handle a maximum of 8 inverts into a structure
Invert directions are calculated on 8 compass points
Invert 1 will be N, if there is a North, and progress in a clockwise fashion
In order N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW
In the event that 2 inverts share the same direction, the shallowest invert shall be listed first
In the event of a drop pipe, the shallowest invert shall be listed first
It is suggested that pipe runs be separated by a blank row
Structures may need to appear more than once if they are common to more than one profile (just copy the information as needed)
As an example, str 104 is in the main profile and also the furthest downstream structure in a secondary run (this is usually the case when there are more than 3 inverts)
The Top of casting for end sections should be shown as NA
Engineering Company (ENG_CMPY) - The Name of the Engineering Company
As-Built ID Number (AB_ID) - Engineering Companies Project Number
Developer (DEVELOPER) - The name of the developer
Pipe Sheet Directions
Pipe runs must be listed in the same order as the structures including skipped lines
Sheet must be filled out going from upstream to downstream
Up stream structure ID (UPS_STR_ID) - This is the unique ID of the structure upstream
Down stream structure ID (DOW_STR_ID) - This is the unique ID of the structure downstream
Slope (SLOPE) - The slope of the pipe.
Diameter (DIAM) - This is the diameter of the pipe.
Pipe Length (PIPE_LEN) - This is the length of the pipe.
Material- RCP, PVC, HDPE, DI only, class goes in next column
Pipe Class- Class #, SDR-35, SDR-26, etc.
Type of Sewer (SEWER_TYPE), gravity or forcemain
Length of Granular Backfill (LEN_GRA_FI) - length of the granular backfill
Average Depth (AVG_DEPTH) - the average depth of the sanitary pipe.
Up stream Invert (UPST_INVER) - This is the invert of the structure upstream
Down stream invert (DOWN_INVER) - This is the inver of the structure downstream
Slope Check (SLOPE_CHEC) - This formula checks the slope automatically
Project (PROJECT) - This is the name of the subdivision and section or project
Source (SOURCE) - This will remain AS_BUILT
Verified or Reference (VER_REF) - This will remain VER
Note: The formula for the avg. depth will have to be adjusted slightly for each pipe run.
Note: The slope check formula can be used as an aid to verify slope and the entered invert values. It can be copied directly to the pipe slope column if necessary.
Engineering Company (ENG_CMPY) - The Name of the Engineering Company
As-Built ID Number (AB_ID) - Engineering Companies Project Number
Developer (DEVELOPER) - The name of the developer
Sanitary Sewer Laterals
Identify each lateral stub installed by a lot number and/or address (LOT_NUM)
Identify type as residential or commercial (TYPE)
Identify the sanitary main the lateral is tied to (MAIN_ID)
Identify lateral location by measuring back from downstream structure (DIST_BACK)
Length of lateral installed (PIPE_LEN)
Diameter of lateral (DIAMETER)
Connection type (CONNECT) - Wye, Saddle Tap, Manhole Core, etc.
Engineering Company (ENG_CMPY) - The Name of the Engineering Company
As-Built ID Number (AB_ID) - Engineering Companies Project Number
Developer (DEVELOPER) - The name of the developer
Storm_Structure
Storm Structure Number (STR_NU) - This is the unique identifer number information that will match the attribute number in CAD
Structure Type (STR_TY) - Manhole, Curbinlet Chairback, Curbinlet Rolled, Beehive Inlet, End Section, Yard Inlet, Catch Basin
Storm BMP Type (STO_BMP_TY) - The type of BMP
Top of Casting (TOP_OF_CAST) - Elevation at the rim or top of casting
Casting Type (CAST_TYPE) - Neenah R-3501-TR, East Jordan 7495M1, etc.
Shape of Structure (STR_SHAPE) - Eliptical, Square, Rectangular, Round, etc.
Invert of Sump (SUMP_INV) - Enter the invert elevation of the sump
Number of Inverts (NUM_OF_INV) - Enter the number of inverts

BMP_NON_ID - Populate value from the BMP_Types tab
SITE_DESIGN - Refer to any supporting design documentation material here, such as drainage report.
LOCATION - Use if additional information is required.
DESCRIPTION - Use if more detailed description is required.
MISC - Use if additional information is required.
PROJECT - Name of subdivision and section or other project name.
INST_DATE - Date the item was put in place.
SOURCE - Will be AS_BUILT
BMP_Types
This tab has a list of BMP types and the code to use on the associated structure and no structure tabs
Water Node
Node Identification (NOD_ID) - Unique feature ID
Type of Water Node (NODE_TYPE) - I.E. Valve, Reducer, Tee, Cross, Reducers, Meter Pit, Saddle, Sleeve (Bends are not required)
Sub-type of Node (SUB_TYP) - System, Hydrant, Check, Curb
Valve Sub-Type (VAL_SUB_TY) - The sub-type of valve Gate, Butterfly, Service, Post Indicator, Flanged OS and Wye
Valve Position (VALVE_POS) - On or Off
Node Size (NODE_SIZE) - The size of the Water Node, 6, 6x6x8, etc.
Date installed (DATE_INSTA) - Date Installed - mm/dd/yyyy
Project (PROJECT) - This is the name of the subdivision and section or project
Source (SOURCE) - This will remain AS_BUILT
Verified or Reference (VER_REF) - This will remain VER
Engineering Company (ENG_CMPY) - The Name of the Engineering Company

Water Node ID (WAT_NOD_ID) - Unique feature ID
Hydrant Make (HYD_MAKE) - Maufacturer of the Hydrant, Nueller, Waterous, FDC etc.
Hydrant Model (HYDR_MODEL) - Model of the Hydrant, Centurion, Pacer, Eddy, etc.
Pump size of the Hydrant (HYDR_PUMSZ) - Size of connection, 5, 4.5, 4, 2.5 etc.
Number of Nozzles (NUM_OF_NOZ) - The number of nozzles of the hydrant, 2, 3
The year of the hydrant (HYD_YEAR) - Year of Hydrant make
Color (COLOR) - red, yellow etc.
Township (TOWNSHIP) - The township the hydrant is located, Washington, Noblesville, etc.
Stortz Connection (STORTZ) - Y, N
Owner of the Hydrant (OWNER) - WPWD, Private
Date Installed (DATE_INSTA) - Date Installed - yyyy-mm-dd
Project (PROJECT) - This is the name of the subdivision and section or project

Series (SERIES) - The MUTCD series, i.e. D Series, Destination, Guide, etc.
Speed (SPEED) - The speed limit, i.e. 5, 10, 20 etc.
Description (DESCRIPTION) - The signs description, i.e., Yield, One Way, No Parking, School Zone, etc.
Project (PROJECT) - The name of the subdivion and section or project
Date Installed (INST_DATE) - Date Installed - mm-dd-yyyy

Structure Out (STRUC_OUT) - The identification number of structure at end of system
Control Structure Out (CTL_ST_OUT) - Elevation of the outflow control structure
Bottom Elevation (BTM_ELE) - Elevation of the bottom of the Detention structure
Top Elevation (TOP_ELE) - Elevation of the top of the Detention structure
Number of Inverts (NU_INVERTS) - Number of inverts coming into the system
