Dear Ms. Conn,
Ms. Natalie pala and I stopped by your office this afternoon to review the discrepancy
between the colored elevation drawings that were submitted with our ADLS application and
the black and white elevation drawings that were submitted with our application for a
building permit.
Upon viewing the black and white copies, for whatever reason, there did appear to be a
different shade of brick color on the north elevation of the Old Navy building where the
existing building and the new expanded part of the building meet which apparently is what
initiated this second review.
However, there is not going to be a different brick color used at the expansion in lieu of
what was originally used on the building. We have verified with the brick supplier that
we can still purchase the same brick that was originally used (please see attached email
copy from General Shale on March 13, 2007) and it is our intent to do so.
Hopefully this will clear up the discrepancy that appeared on the black and white copies.
If you need any additional information from me, please let me know. We will be happy to
comply.

1. Allow plenty of time for review and approval process (approximately .two (2)
months).
2. Discuss proposed project with DOCS staff (please call for an appointment to discuss
review procedure and appropriate dates) first week of the month, works the best to
begin a project.
3. INFORMATION NEEDED for formal DOCS staff and Plan Commission review:
a. Two copies of formal application with required information
b. Two copies of legal description
c. Two location maps showing location of subject site, zoning and existing land
uses of all adjacent properties.
d. Two copies of a detailed site development plan showing:
I) Detailed drainage plan with drainage calculations. If project is in Clay
Township, take to Kent Ward, County Surveyor (776-9626) and John South,
U.S. Soil Conservation Service (773-1406). If project is in City of Carmel,
