RE: Shapiro's ADLS Amend
Kelli, I, for one, am very appreciative of the diligence that you and your
associates at Community Services have been applying to this very important
Shapiro matter. Along with Carmel Schwinn and AMLI, Shapiro has shared our
foresight and vision in putting Carmel's City Center on the map, and we need
to move as promptly and as favorably as possible, consistent with your very
important professional standards and insight.
If things work well, this entire matter can be approved by the Commission,
the Board of Public Works and your group this week. Thanks again for your
diligence. Ed

Subject: Shapiro's ADLS Amend
Hello
Thursday afternoon Mr. Shapiro delivered to DOCS a packet containing a
proposed wind sculpture, bicycle rack, and fencing. Because an ADLS
petition does not require a public hearing, we are able to add these items
to our agenda for next Friday. I have attached a revised agenda to this
message.
Mr. Engelking has placed the information packets provided by Mr. Shapiro in
each of your boxes as well as forwarding one to Mr. aIds. Please let me
know if you have any comments or questions regarding any of the items
included in the Shapiro's packet, particularly the Wind Sculpture. The
Department will ask Mr. Shapiro to provide a color illustration of the
sculpture prior to the hearing. Please note that the sculpture contains 3
elements ranging in height from 13 to 17 feet.
Thanks and have a good weekend,
Kelli
