Docket No. 101-02 ADLS Amend- Tharp Convenience Center
Petitioner seeks an amendment of the Architectural Design, Lighting, Landscaping &
Signage approval to modify the signage for a retail shopping center. The site is located at
808 West Main. The site is zoned OM-SF / Old Meridian-Single Family.
Filed by Mark Keen of Sign Fab for Don Tharp.
The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval of a new signage plan for the center.
Please see the information packet provided by the applicant.
As originally approved the center had a bronze sign band with all white lettering for each tenant.
In addition, there was no signage on the canopy.
Last fall the sign band was replaced with a white band as opposed to bronze. Signs have since
been placed in the area, none are white as approved, and all have been installed without permits.
Applications were submitted, however, they could not be approved because they were not
consistent with the approved plan. Other tenants are waiting for approval to place signs.
The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee take into consideration a
coordinated request across the entire center.
Note: This item only requires approval by the Special Studies Committee.
