8h. Docket No. 99-02 Z; Southeast Old Town Rezone
Petitioner seeks a favorable recommendation of a rezone from B-l/Business, B-
2/Business, and R-2/Residential to C-2/0Id Town. The site is located southeast of the
intersection of Main Street and Range Line Road. The site is zoned B-l/Business, B-
2/Business, and R-2/Residential.
Filed by the Department of Community Services for the Carmel Redevelopment
Commission.
This rezone is requested by the Carmel Redevelopment Commission (see Attached CRC
Resolution and draft ordinance) in an effort to aid in the redevelopment of these properties.
The Department recommends that this item be forwarded to the City Council, at the
conclusion of the Public Hearing, with a favorable recommendation.
Note: Forwarding the rezone request this evening will require a vote to waive the Commission's
rules of procedure which would have the item sent to committee.
