Re: BZA Docket No. PZ -2024-00141 V: Tru Hotel Sign Variance.
Dear Mr. Hafner:
At the meeting held on Monday, September 23, 2024, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took
the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) request filed by you for the property
located at 12164 N. Meridian Street:
APPROVED: Tru Hotel Sign Variance - Development Standards Variance approval for: Projecting and
Blade signs: Shall not extend more than five (5) feet from the face of the Building; ten (10) feet granted.
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is September 23,
2027.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
