Dear Mr. Coots: At the meeting held on Monday, September 23, 2024 the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action regarding the Use Variance (UV) request filed by you for the property located at 10601 N. College Avenue, with Tax Parcel ID Numbers 17-13-01-03-06-019.000 and 17-13-01-03-06-018.000: APPROVED with Conditions: Recovery Auto Use Variance Renewal - Use Variance approval for: Prohibited Uses in Overlay, Automobile Sales & Display granted with the Condition of a two (2) year time limit. Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Use Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of this Use Variance is September 23, 2026. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
