Oct. 23, before we send out the BZA Dept. Report:  If possible, please “beef up” the proposed wooden 6x6 posts to make them thicker.  How is the existing detached accessory building being used, and how will it be used? As a garage, accessory dwelling, blend of the two, and/or other? (A detached In Laws Quarters will most likely need Use Variance approval from the Board of Zoning Appeals, for an Accessory Dwelling use.) (From a prior comment from Matt Shively, resident plan reviewer, A Use Variance might also be required based on the actual use of the detached accessory structure. Hamilton County tax records defines the detached accessory structure as a garage, the contractor described it as an accessory dwelling unit, and now it is being described as a pool house. We would need to know exactly what it is used for.) 1
