The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 oflatest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting:
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewet
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Unifornl Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shal1 be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmeJ ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-]22(a), and sections P300S.1 and.2 of the Internationa] Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "ODen trench" insDected and 3oDrovcd bv the Carmel Sewer DeDartment before anv backfillinl! is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer inspections should be requested at (317) 57] -2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any sveet
must he cut. a senarate street cut nennit shall he ohtaincrl. I
