Please respond in writing to the preliminary review comments listed at the
bottom of the 09/25 docket no. assignment email, and please do that before
noon on Friday, October 18. For your convenience, they are listed again,
below: a) Please make checks payable to City of Carmel if you are paying via
check. b) Provide a copy of the Official List of Adjacent Property Owners from
the Hamilton County Auditors Office. (Make sure to check Carmel BZA on
their form.) c) *The Current in Carmel only prints on Tuesdays, and their filing
deadline is usually 14 days prior to their printing date. Please submit your
Microsoft Word file of the legal ad to them before Noon, Fri., October 4 so
that it prints on time. Their contact info is 317-489-4444 or
legals@youarecurrent.com. (Please refer to the Handout for a template of
wording to use for the legal ad and the mailings the Notice of Public
Hearing.) d) The mailings/notices to the adjacent property owners should be
done by first class mail with Certificate of Mailing (not Certified Mail). (Please
provide us with the stamped receipts of the certificate of mailings for the file
on or before Noon, Wed., October 23.) e) Please provide the filled out &
notarized Placement of Public Notice Sign Placement Affidavit form (found in
Handout) once the sign is placed. f) Please provide the filled out & notarized
Petitioners Affidavit of Notice of Public Hearing form (found in Handout). g)
Please provide the filled out Notice of the Public Hearing form/template
(found in Handout). h) Please provide proof of notice, such as Publishers
Affidavit from the newspaper, once you receive them. i) Please make sure to
list out your practical difficulties and hardships associated with having to
comply with the zoning ordinance. j) Additional review comments (if any) will
be issued through ProjectDox, our online electronic plan review software.

A) We understood that Carmel Clay Schools is exempt
from payment. If this is not the case, please let me our
Julie Dryden know. I would be glad to stop at the City
Hall and pay on Monday. Unfortunately, I'm out of
office on business on Friday, the 18th. B) DONE,
Adjacent Property List was uploaded on 10-17-2024. C)
DONE, it was advertised in The Current on 10-15-2024.
D) DONE, proof of mailings was uploaded on 10-17-
2024. E) DONE, Public Sign Placement Affidavit was
uploaded on 10-17-2024 with Photos. F) DONE,
Affidavit of Notice of Hearing was uploaded on 10-17-
2024, the PDF is combined with proof of mailings. G)
DONE, the Notice of Public Hearing was uploaded on
10-17-2024 H) DONE, Publishers Affidavit was uploaded
on 10-17-2024. I) DONE, The Letter with Difficulties &
Hardships for each project, along with a Project Info
separate file was uploaded on 10-17-2024. J)
Understood.
NOTE: In addition, The Hearing Officer
Development Standards Variance form for each variance
per the checklist was uploaded on 10-17-2024 along
with the Property Survey boundary in lieu of a legal
description.

Related to the site, please also ask Amber Sheller to complete her Task in
ProjectDox for PZ-2024-00139 TAC Carmel High School Stadium Grandstand
Renovation, to keep that review process moving forward, too.

Per Amber Sheller, TLF, this item was completed on
Monday per the TAC comments and updated drawings.

Sign permits require a sign permit application and review process. Variance
approval does not constitute a sign permit.
