Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2024-00165,166,167 V: Carmel High School Grandstand Variances
Dear Ms. Sheller:
At the meeting held on Monday, October 28, 2024, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the
following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) requests filed by you for the property located
at 2390, 2450, and 2475 E. Smoky Row Road:
APPROVED: Carmel High School Grandstand Variances – Development Standards Variance approvals for:
• PZ-2024-00165 V: Maximum 35’ building height allowed, 71’ 10” granted.
• PZ-2024-00166 V: No signs on accessory structures allowed, 1 granted.
• PZ-2024-00167 V: Maximum 35% lot cover allowed, 62.9% granted.
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is October 28,
2027.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
