Unfortunately, it’s stature is being threatened by the proposed Taylor Morrison development. I don’t subscribe to the notion that anyone should be able to live wherever they desire. There are many neighborhoods that I might want to live where the homes are either unaffordable or don’t meet my personal requirements. Should the areas immediately surrounding them be rezoned to accommodate me at their expense? The proposed development may or may not meet the demographics mentioned in Carmel’s Comprehensive Plan. One thing that is likely, however, is that it would attract investors from all over looking for rental property. Two of the many great aspects of Carmel are it’s diversity and inclusive nature, which I believe can be perpetuated without comprising the VWC. Surely there must be locations in Carmel more compatible with the density, lot coverage, price range, quality, and amenities associated with this project? Others will expound on what they feel are relevant disqualifying aspects of this development but, to me, it just doesn't fit here. The VWC is a community and what’s proposed is just another housing project. Respectfully, Cheryl Ericson 12548 Branford Street The Village of West Clay Carmel. IN 46032 1
