Subject:Stout Farm Development
Dear Mr. Butler –
We live in the Village of West Clay (VWC) and are concerned about/opposed to the proposed Stout farm
development.
We very much enjoy living on the west side of Carmel. We are proud of both our VWC community and our
larger Carmel community. Carmel has worked hard over the years to develop and maintain its architectural
and aesthe?c standards. The proposed develop is inconsistent with those standards. While important,
aesthe?cs is not our only concern.
It is inevitable that property values will decline for current residents with added density and lower cost homes.
The proposed project is not planned as a rental community but could easily evolve into one over ?me.
With density comes noise and traffic which impacts quality of life for current residents.
With density comes the poten?al for increased crime and violence which impacts safety for current residents.
We 100% support the resolu?on submi?ed by the VWC Board of Directors. We no longer have ?es to
Carmel. Our kids are grown and we work remotely. We stay because we love it. That could change if the
project moves forward. Please consider our sen?ments and those of our neighbors at your upcoming
mee?ng.
Respectfully,
Britt and Josh Moster
