I attended the meeting with the developers in the VOWC and was shocked at what is being considered. I am well aware that development is inevitable on open land in Carmel, however, like my neighbors I am in favor of responsible, reasonable growth that is aligned with the overall look, feel, and infrastructure of West Carmel. I chose West Carmel for a reason. It's disappointing that area residents have to battle developers who are proposing projects that don't benefit the overall community but rather make them the most money. The neighborhood that is being considered has virtually no amenities, and it backs up to a community where homeowners pay very high HOA fees to maintain the unique environment. The VOWC is a draw for local business owners, area residents, and visitors. The neighborhood was carefully planned, and not designed to support the influx of 130 homes, with 90% or greater lot coverage, literally backing up to my neighbor's homes. Once West Carmel is ruined, it's ruined. There has to be a better way. Please consider the concerns of me and my fellow neighbors. Respectfully, Kimberly Bardellini 12652 Apsley Lane Village of West Clay 1
